About Us: Softwire is a UK company founded on a simple idea: to create the best possible environment for building software.

We deliver innovative, high quality software solutions in a broad range of markets and our clients vary from small start-ups to household names such as the BBC, Channel 5 and Google DeepMind. The working environment is relaxed and friendly and there are many opportunities to engage in pro bono and charitable work too. This is why we have featured in the top 25 of The Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For in each of the past eight years, always as one of the top few software companies.

We are looking for graduate software developers and interns who want a challenging role in our highly successful and growing company. Our staff are among the smartest in the industry and they grow with us, learning diverse technologies and pursuing the type of work they find most interesting. We are looking for highly inquisitive people with raw talent and a passion for coding. Hobbyist or academic experience of programming is desirable but not mandatory, and we accept applications from students of all disciplines. We offer a superb all-round package, including starting salary of 9000 RON/month, with half of our profits distributed to staff as bonus

Vacancies: Graduate Software Developer – up to 3 vacancies each year usually starting in September.

Internships and Work Experience:

We offer up to 6 internship places in Bucharest each year, mostly over the summer but with other dates available too. Our internship programme is extremely popular with students, offering real-life, team-based software development work, often on pro bono or community-based projects, and a salary of 5700 RON per month.

Recruitment Criteria:

We are looking for fiercely inquisitive people with raw talent, a passion for coding and an impeccable academic record (or a good excuse!). Hobbyist or academic experience of programming is desirable but not mandatory, and we accept applications from students of all disciplines.

Training:

We provide full on-the job training to our staff, all the way through their career.
Application Process: Our application process is probably the quickest and easiest to be found anywhere. We recruit and interview all year round but candidates are significantly more likely to be successful if they apply well in advance of their preferred start date. Students looking for summer internships or permanent placements after graduation are advised to submit their application before the end of March.
