What you will be doing AMD is at the forefront of semiconductors and computing technologies, empowering individuals and businesses to create innovative digital solutions. As an AI Intern, you will be an essential part of our AI research and development team, working on cutting-edge projects and initiatives that drive our company's vision. You will collaborate with Silicon Design Verification Engineers and ML/AI deployment team, enhancing your AI/ML skills and knowledge while contributing to the continuous improvement of AMD's products and services. • Assist in the development and implementation of machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms, models, and systems. • Conduct thorough research on the latest ML/AI developments and analyze their applications in solving real-world problems. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and researchers to optimize existing ML/AI models and develop innovative solutions. • Test, evaluate, and improve the performance of ML/AI solutions, ensuring their reliability and scalability. • Assist in preparing technical documentation, research papers, and presentations that showcase research findings and project outcomes. • Attend project meetings, providing insights and sharing knowledge with team members. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal AI/ML processes, tools, and methodologies. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in ML/AI.

Who we are looking for: • You are currently enrolled in a Romanian-based university Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics or related discipline with a focus on Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence. • Experience with programming languages like Python, C++, or Java, and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras. • Knowledge of machine learning techniques, such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing. • Familiarity with data manipulation, visualization, and statistical analysis tools, such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib. • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively. • Curiosity, creativity, and a strong desire to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest AI/ML technologies. • Experience with LLM fine-tuning, LLM benchmarking, and RAG-based GenAI tools. • Familiarity with hardware-software co-design and architecture for ML/AI applications. • Prior involvement in ML/AI projects or research, ideally with a published paper or recognitions. • Good written and verbal English.
