Amazing opportunity for early careers to join Garrett Motion's production team, in our biggest plant in Bucharest. We are currently looking for a Junior Buyer interested in pursuing a career in Procurement. In this role, you will be responsible for procurement of prototype direct materials, considering price, quality and delivery time, to ensure continuity of prototype production and supply. You will manage our vendor panel and keep an eye on the order management from order release until delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and order management
  • Initiate procurement activities as per procurement rules and sourcing strategy
  • Transfer complete and correctly technical specifications to vendors
  • Proceed with technical clarification (APQP, feedback ) to unblock procurement process
  • Conduct request for quotation with multiple vendors from panel, evaluate offers and negotiate best conditions in terms of timing and cost
  • Issue POs for parts and specific toolings
  • Participate to prototype project sourcing decision
  • Escalate sourcing issues
  • Delivery scheduling and supply chain
  • Responsible for purchase order completeness from release to final payment
  • Negotiate project planning with vendor and confirm delivery date
  • Work closely with scheduler to track and analyze delivery of critical parts (Clear to build)
  • Work closely with relevant functions to solve delivery constraints ( priorities/technical issues/inventory)
  • Support inventory management by executing regular controls: cancellation of orders in excess, optimisation of order value, tooling reception
  • Support quality management by insuring vendor quality compliance with prototype quality requirements
  • Support management of poor quality parts (DNC, COPQ, returns) or delivery issues ( quantity discrepancies)
  • Operates in SAP according to existing procedures
