Intern - Data Platform Java Engineer

As a Data Platform Java Engineer you will be involved into EMEA Data Platform development, data ingest and integration with GoDaddy Global DWH. You will be involved into data governance process including ETL (Extract / Transform / Load), Data Quality Control, reporting, platform development / integration and end to end testing. You should have good exposure and understanding on working with databases (both sql and noSQL) and dig into the platform components (data streaming, queues, APIs, metrics and monitoring). You should be enthusiastic about experimenting and learning new technologies with focus on big data. Good communication skills are required. Analytical skills is a plus. In this role you will be part of a team of engineers to develop, test and consolidate EMEA Data Platform (RTF and Analytics).


  • Work with engineers to develop, test and deliver components and services for EMEA Data Platform.
  • Make use of design patterns and best practices.
  • Working with Java 11, Kafka, ELK Stack, Spring 5, Keycloak), Docker, Openshift and AWS.
  • Support platform quality and stability by increasing and maintaining end to end integration tests.
  • Adhere and promote quality standards.
  • Learn to work on CI/CD pipelines and automation.
  • Regulary update documentation.


  • Good knowledge of Java / Java OOP.
  • Good exposure to data modeling, ETL, data query (eg: mysql scripting ) and optimization.
  • Working with REST API.
  • Comfortable using GIT.
