About Lenovo Summer Internship Program: We are inviting students to join our team for a paid Summer Internship Program, kicking off on July 1st. You will have a full-time flexible schedule and company benefits offering a complete Lenovo Employee Experience.

Interns will engage in 3-month projects, collaborating on end-to-end tasks that fuel creativity and innovation, whilst gaining hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, starting with design and architecture, and progressing through testing to implementation. You will receive training, guidance, and mentoring from our local and global experts, supported by tools and learning platforms.

Upon completion of the Internship, you will have the opportunity to present your masterpiece to Lenovo’s Management Team, showcasing your technical abilities. Participants in the Summer Internship Program may also be considered for a full-time position or an extended Internship throughout the year.

Project overview:

The Lenovo Product Engineering team seeks a highly motivated student who will work on developing a tool that can create and deploy replicas of customer environments. The tool will be used in customer recreation scenarios to simulate software and firmware issues. You will work closely with our senior engineers throughout the project.

In this position, you will:

• Use existing log parsers and customer logs to extract the data needed to deploy the customer environment
• Configure the tool to allow the user to select the needed serviced to be installed
• Use Linux OS to allow deployment of needed infrastructure: DNS, AD, KDC, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/FTPS/SFTP, SMTP email interception, NT, Certificate Catalogs and Certificate Management, Virtual Workstations (Jump Nodes), other discrete services

Apply if you have:

• Skills with Python, Node JS / JavaScript / TypeScript, Java, Ansible
• Knowledge of Linux operating system and commands and/or Windows
• Docker and other dev-ops related skills using RestAPI (integrations and configuration skills, Git)
• Good English speaking and writing skills

Recruitment process:

Shortlisted applicants will receive an invitation for a brief phone interview. Those who successfully navigate the phone screening will be invited to the Lenovo office for an Assessment Center Day on the 21st, 22nd and 24th of Mach. At this event, participants will engage in various activities, meet the Lenovo team and technical mentor, and attend final interviews.
