About Lenovo Summer Internship Program:

We are inviting students to join our team for a paid Summer Internship Program, kicking off on July 1st. You will have a full-time flexible schedule and company benefits offering a complete Lenovo Employee Experience.

Interns will engage in 3-month projects, collaborating on end-to-end tasks that fuel creativity and innovation, whilst gaining hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, starting with design and architecture, and progressing through testing to implementation. You will receive training, guidance, and mentoring from our local and global experts, supported by tools and learning platforms.

Upon completion of the Internship, you will have the opportunity to present your masterpiece to Lenovo’s Management Team, showcasing your technical abilities. Participants in the Summer Internship Program may also be considered for a full-time position as QA developer.

Project overview:

During the internship program, you will work on developing an internal application designed to simplify test automation. This application will allow users to select different components of XC1 and automatically generate the corresponding test cases, helping create customized automation flows without writing complex test logic manually. XClarity One (XC1) is Lenovo's centralized management platform for hybrid cloud environments. It provides unified control over Lenovo and multi-vendor infrastructure, offering automation, monitoring, and analytics for both on-premises and cloud resources. It simplifies IT operations, enhances visibility, and supports scalability in complex data center environments.

In this position, you will:

• Develop great Backend and Frontend features (in collaboration with our UI/UX designer)
• Learn and improve your coding and testing skills (we don’t expect you to come with a lot of experience, but we will make sure that you’ll gain it)
• Follow a continuous “everything” approach (development, testing integration and deployment)
• Work with real data center equipment and cutting-edge technologies
• Propose technical solutions and take part in discussions and design planning meetings
• Develop the ability to design effective testing strategies
• Learn fundamentals of manual and automated software testing
• Learn how to use Cypress to automate tests for web applications

Apply if you have:

• Interest in software quality and how applications work
• A strong attention to detail and a quality-oriented mindset
• Troubleshooting, problem-solving mindset; ability to systematically and effectively break down problems to identify root failures
• Basic experience in JavaScript development, including backend skills (Node.js, Express) and UI development (React, Angular, or Vue.js), Problem solving and solution-oriented thinking
• Willingness to learn, and a passion for building scalable web applications with seamless front-end and back-end integration.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies
• A minimum knowledge regarding terminal commands
• Experience with a source code control system, GIT is preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly and ask questions
• Excellent English speaking and writing skills

Would be a plus:

• Basic test automation capabilities
• Basic knowledge of Linux
• Good Computer Science fundamentals and algorithmic thinking
