About Lenovo Summer Internship Program:

We are inviting students to join our team for a paid Summer Internship Program, kicking off on July 1st. You will have a full-time flexible schedule and company benefits offering a complete Lenovo Employee Experience.

Interns will engage in 3-month projects, collaborating on end-to-end tasks that fuel creativity and innovation, whilst gaining hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, starting with design and architecture, and progressing through testing to implementation. You will receive training, guidance, and mentoring from our local and global experts, supported by tools, and learning platforms.

Upon completion of the Internship, you will have the opportunity to present your masterpiece to Lenovo's Management Team, showcasing your technical abilities.

Participants in the Summer Internship Program may also be considered for a full-time position or an extended Internship throughout the year.

Project Overview:

Lenovo's Software Development team is looking for passionate Software Engineers to help us expand the capabilities of our Lenovo XClarity One management platform. You will play a key role in developing features that streamline the process of importing, configuring, and deploying application containers. This will enhance our Management as a Service offering, empowering customers to easily manage their containerized applications.

In this position, you will:

• Contribute to feature development: Assist in developing new features and improving existing ones, ensuring you write clean, well-documented code.
• Explore DevOps practices: Learn to apply DevOps methodologies for building, testing, and deploying code in the Azure cloud environment.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs: Play a role in creating the APIs that power data exchange within our applications.
• Learn Agile methodologies: Collaborate with our team using Agile/Scrum processes and gain exposure to effective project management.

Apply if you have:

• Strong coding foundation: Solid understanding of programming principles and constructs with JavaScript (Node.js).
• Experience with Linux: Comfort navigating Linux environments and working with the command line.
• Understanding of APIs: Knowledge of RESTful APIs and how they enable applications to communicate.
• DevOps passion: Eagerness to learn and apply DevOps practices for streamlined software delivery.
• Interest in NoSQL: Basic familiarity with flexible databases like MongoDB.
• Problem-solving mindset : Enjoy tackling challenges and finding creative solutions.
• Effective communication skills: The ability to express yourself clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.

Would be a plus:

• Knowledge of code control systems is a plus, GIT is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with modern front-end development frameworks (preferably Angular 16+).

• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills.

• Basic unit testing knowledge.

• Experience with a web application framework (Express).

Recruitment process:

Shortlisted applicants will receive an invitation for a brief phone interview. Those who successfully navigate the phone screening will be invited to the Lenovo office for an Assessment Center Day. At this event, participants will engage in various activities, meet the Lenovo Team and Technical Mentor, and attend final interviews.
