The Bitdefender BOX development team builds technologies that are designed both for the BOX and for integration into our partners’ network devices, innovating and perfecting the standards in terms of security, privacy and user experience for millions of customers.

REQUIREMENTS We are looking for a curious software developer intern who is passionate about technology, who has a solid programming background and experience with the Linux development environment.

We are looking for a person with initiative, who is eager to solve problems ranging from straightforward and well known to more complex and open-ended. All of the above with respect to the standards of quality, speed and stability Bitdefender proudly promotes.

We are developing software targeted for embedded Linux operating systems, creating and updating security applications that work in conjunction with the Bitdefender Threat Intelligence cloud services.

This is why, ideally, you should:

  • be fluent in C and C++

  • have a very good understanding of networking models and concepts, especially TCP/IP

  • have a good understanding of the functionality and implementation of network and encryption services (e.g. DHCP, DNS, HTTP, SSL etc.)

It would be a plus if:

  • you have previous experience with embedded Linux systems

  • you have previous experience with networking equipment

  • you have good debugging skills of Linux user-land applications

  • you are familiar with scripting languages (bash, python)

It would be awesome if you showed us what projects you have worked on so far on GitHub, Bitbucket or wherever your little corner of Internet may be.
